India continued its dominant performance on Day 2 of the 4th South Asian Senior Athletics Championships 2025 at Ranchi’s Birsa Munda Athletics Stadium. The Indian contingent won 18 medals, including seven gold, eight silver, and three bronze, bringing their total to 32.

Sri Lanka continued to challenge India’s supremacy, winning eight gold medals and finishing on the podium 23 times, while Nepal remained third with three bronze medals.

In the women’s 100m hurdles, Nandhini K of India won gold in 13.56 seconds, followed by compatriot Moumita Mondal. Manav R won gold in the men’s 110m hurdles, clocking 13.78 seconds. Sanjana Singh won her second gold medal of the competition, the women’s 1500m, in 4:25.36 seconds. Arjun Waskale won the men’s 1500m in 3:54.58s.

Neeru Pathak led the women’s 400m in 53.15 seconds, while Seema won the discus throw with 55.14 meters. Kirpal Singh won another gold in the men’s discus throw with 56.22m.

The three-day contest, which includes 300 athletes from six countries, ends on Sunday, marking the event’s return after 17 years.
