Indian badminton players PV Sindhu and Lakshya Sen won the women’s and men’s singles titles at the Hylo Open 2026 in Saarbrücken, Germany, on November 1, securing a double victory for India at the BWF World Tour Super 500 tournament.

Sindhu defeated Denmark’s Line Kjaersfeldt 21-12, 21-14 in the women’s singles final to claim her second BWF title of the season. The two-time Olympic medallist controlled the match through consistent attacking play and movement, preventing her opponent from establishing a sustained advantage.

The victory made Sindhu the first Indian woman to win the women’s singles title at the Hylo Open. Her previous title this season came at the Japan Open in July. She had also reached the final of another BWF tournament in the preceding week.

In the men’s singles, Lakshya Sen defeated Indonesia’s defending champion Jonatan Christie 21-17, 21-10. The Indian shuttler secured his second Hylo Open crown, having previously won the tournament in 2021.

Sen’s victory marked his first BWF title of 2026 and made him the first Indian player to win the men’s singles title at the tournament twice.

The results gave India two titles at the competition, strengthening its presence on the international badminton circuit.

Both victories provide momentum for the Indian shuttlers ahead of upcoming international tournaments as they continue their campaigns on the BWF World Tour.
