India’s Test series against England concluded in a 2-2 draw after a clinical bowling performance led by Mohammed Siraj on the final morning at the Kennington Oval. The five-match series, which lasted seven weeks, delivered 25 days of intense red-ball cricket between two closely matched sides.

England had an early lead in Leeds, but India recovered strongly in Edgbaston. The hosts bounced at Lord’s, while the fourth Test at Old Trafford finished in a tie. India then put on a comprehensive display at the Oval.

The series had a major impact on the ICC Test rankings. Yashasvi Jaiswal entered the top five Test batsmen with 411 runs, including two centuries. His highest score of 118 came from 164 deliveries. Shubman Gill slipped to 13th place despite scoring 754 runs overall. Rishabh Pant and Ravindra Jadeja also saw movements, with Jadeja now ranked 31st and KL Rahul at 40.

Mohammed Siraj moved up 12 places to 15th among Test bowlers after taking 23 wickets in five innings. Jasprit Bumrah remains India’s top-ranked bowler. Gus Atkinson entered England’s top ten, tied for tenth. Prasidh Krishna and Josh Tongue received career-high ratings.
