Major Investment to Boost Well-Being and Sustainability in Abu Dhabi

Abu Dhabi has approved a $11.4 billion expansion of its Quality of Life Strategy, which aims to enhance living standards, strengthen communities, and ensure the long-term well-being of residents and visitors.

The plan prioritises healthcare, housing, sustainability, mobility, and cultural development. Authorities have indicated that the expansion will prioritise access to modern healthcare facilities, preventive health programs, and mental health initiatives. Investments in wellness clinics, telemedicine, and community sports facilities are anticipated to encourage healthy habits.

Sustainability remains a key component of the approach. The government plans to increase green corridors, urban parks, and renewable energy projects while also promoting recycling and waste reduction measures. These methods are intended to reduce carbon emissions and enhance overall environmental quality.

The strategy also emphasises inclusivity, with initiatives aimed at increasing affordable housing, improving public transportation, and enhancing accessibility for all residents. Electric buses, cycling tracks, and pedestrian-friendly neighbourhoods are all planned to make cities more connected and livable.

Cultural and educational efforts are another pillar of growth. New investments will benefit heritage preservation, museums, arts districts and modernised schools. Youth programs and innovation centres will promote entrepreneurship and global skill development.
