Matt Stutzman, famously known as the “Armless Archer,” has been named the Best Male Summer Athlete at the Para Sport Awards 2025, in recognition of his excellent performances from May 1, 2023, to March 31, 2025. His Para archery career began at the age of 28, and he has since steadily risen to international acclaim. He first gained international recognition after winning a silver medal at the London 2012 Paralympic Games, which signalled the start of an incredible sporting career.

Stutzman made history again at the Paris 2024 Paralympic Games, becoming the first armless archer to win a Paralympic gold medal. He received an outstanding score of 149 out of 150, showcasing precision, consistency, and remarkable mental focus. In addition to his Paralympic accomplishments, he holds the world record for the longest accurate shot in archery, solidifying his reputation as a trailblazing athlete.
