Vietnam Pushes for Deeper Tourism, Sports Collaboration with Poland

Vietnam and Poland have agreed to strengthen tourism and sports cooperation during a meeting in Warsaw between Deputy Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism Ho An Phong and Polish Secretary of State Piotr Borys.
The Vietnamese delegation, which included Ambassador Ha Hoang Hai and other top officials, addressed ways to increase bilateral interactions and stimulate collaboration among travel companies. Deputy Minister Ho An Phong emphasised the 75-year diplomatic relationship and mentioned Vietnam’s visa allowances for Polish people, which have increased tourist numbers. To expand tourism collaboration, he advised improving direct flights, promoting information exchange among enterprises, and making travel more convenient.
During the discussion, Vietnam invited Polish leaders to the ITE HCMC International Travel Expo in September to discuss potential opportunities.
In sports, the Deputy Minister emphasised Poland’s strengths in volleyball, martial arts, football, and skiing, proposing additional partnership in training and athlete exchange. Secretary of State Piotr Borys praised the plans and expressed Poland’s desire to bring tourism enterprises to ITE HCMC 2025. He acknowledged Vietnam’s appeal as a Southeast Asian destination and voiced optimism about future tourism and sports deals. Both sides recognised the potential for better collaboration and agreed to look into practical efforts to promote tourist and sports cooperation.
