Manchester United Defeat Roma

Manchester United defeated AS Roma 3-2 in the UEFA Champions League on November 3, overturning a two-goal deficit to secure victory at Old Trafford.

Roma took an early lead through Matías Soulé in the 11th minute before Donyell Malen converted a penalty in the 17th minute to put the visitors 2-0 ahead.

United responded after the break. Bruno Fernandes converted a penalty in the 58th minute to reduce the deficit and bring the hosts back into the contest.

Matheus Cunha then scored twice in quick succession. His first goal came in the 83rd minute before he struck again three minutes later to complete the comeback and give United a 3-2 lead.

The Brazilian was sent off in stoppage time after receiving a second yellow card, leaving United to see out the closing moments with ten players.

The victory ended United’s nine-game winless run and marked a crucial result in their Champions League campaign. The comeback also highlighted the team’s ability to recover after conceding twice in the opening 20 minutes.

United will next face Sporting CP in Lisbon on November 25 as the league phase continues. Roma, meanwhile, will look to recover in their next European fixture after surrendering their early advantage at Old Trafford.
