The national indoor champion secured the gold medal with a leap of 7.46 metres, reinforcing his growing stature in Indian athletics. 

The event witnessed participation from top athletes across the country, making the competition highly competitive. Sarun’s consistent performances in recent meets have positioned him as one of the key contenders for future international events, including the Asian Games. 

Alongside his victory, the meet also saw notable performances in other disciplines. Maharashtra’s high jumper Sarvesh Anil Kushare clinched the top spot with a jump of 2.19 metres, while Tamil Nadu’s Vithya Ramraj comfortably won the women’s 400m hurdles event with a timing of 57.02 seconds. 

The Indian Athletics Series, organised to provide competitive exposure to athletes, continues to serve as a crucial platform for emerging talent. Sarun’s latest achievement not only highlights his personal growth but also reflects the rising standards of Indian track and field sports.
