At the Dubai Airshow 2025, India highlighted its developing defence manufacturing capabilities by hosting a global industry roundtable aimed at improving collaboration. The summit brought together approximately 50 companies from India, the UAE, the US, the UK, Australia, Brazil, and Italy. Minister of State for Defence Sanjay Seth chaired the meetings, which were attended by Ambassador Deepak Mittal and Joint Secretary Amit Satija, reflecting India’s commitment to developing long-term international alliances.

The discussion focused on strengthening joint production, advancing technical cooperation, and encouraging global manufacturers to see India as a competitive destination for defence manufacturing. The roundtable completed India’s larger participation at the airshow, which included an India Pavilion, independent industry exhibits, startup showcases, and aerial performances by the LCA Tejas and Suryakiran Aerobatic Team.

Officials highlighted the rapid growth of India’s defence innovation ecosystem, which has been fuelled by significant startup engagement. Delegates were urged to engage with these innovative enterprises in order to have a better understanding of the growing technology capabilities that are influencing India’s defence sector. The meeting also drew on previous encounters at IDEX 2025, during which firms provided project updates, operational issues, and areas requiring regulatory intervention.
