Indi Setu 2024: Two-Day UK-India Forum to Drive Innovation and Partnerships
Indi Setu, a two-day conference aimed at strengthening collaboration between India and the United Kingdom in areas like innovation and sustainability, will be held in London on October 10 and 11. The platform, led by doctors, educators, and corporate leaders, will bring experts together to discuss global issues like climate change, healthcare accessibility, and forest and wildlife conservation.
The summit would allow young Indian entrepreneurs and university students to showcase their ideas to an international audience. One of the main highlights is the Planet Pitch, a nationwide challenge in which Indian start-ups will present sustainability-driven solutions. Early rounds are taking place in Calcutta, and two start-ups will eventually pitch online to a London audience of investors, with investment opportunities available for selected ideas.
In the run-up to the event, a curtain-raiser was held in London to emphasise the value of partnerships and cross-border cooperation. Amit Ghose, founder-director and leading urologist at Apollo Multispeciality Hospital, stressed the importance of meaningful networking in achieving transformative outcomes.
The summit’s speakers will include professors from top UK universities, authors, and conservation experts. According to the organisers, discussions will focus on how technology like AI might expand healthcare services to remote regions of India, bridging access and knowledge barriers.
