UAE Media Giant Partners with Industry Leaders for Summer Road Safety Push
Gulf News has launched a statewide Summer Road Safety Campaign in response to the UAE’s current high temperatures. While the astronomical start of summer is still a few days away, temperatures have already risen to the mid-40s Celsius, posing new issues for motorists.
This promotion will run until the end of July in collaboration with Yango, SHIFT Car Rental, and Autotrust. The project aims to educate the public about the vital safety precautions that must be taken during the peak summer months. It provides instructive articles and videos about vehicle maintenance, driver fatigue, and traffic regulations.
Islam Abdulkarim, Regional Head of Yango Middle East, stated that road safety is both an ethical responsibility and a business imperative. Yango aims to increase awareness and encourage safer driving behaviours during the harsh season. The cooperation with Gulf News allows them to reach a large audience with credible safety messages.
Sanaa Ouahmane, CEO of AWR Mobility and AWR Trading, emphasised the importance of vehicle maintenance, particularly during extreme weather. She stated that guidance and regular checks can help lessen the potential risks. Gulf News will use its platforms to distribute promotional content, with safety remaining a top priority for UAE drivers throughout the season.
