Global inclination towards India increasing as new world order takes shape: PM Modi
Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Thursday said that India has emerged as a reliable and trusted global partner as the world moves toward a new international order. Replying to the debate in the Rajya Sabha on the motion of thanks to the President’s address, he noted that major economies are keen to strengthen trade ties with India, reflecting growing global confidence in the country.
Modi said India is signing future-ready trade agreements focused on long-term growth, including recent deals with nine major nations, among them the European Union comprising 27 countries. These agreements, he said, will create fresh opportunities for India’s youth across social and economic backgrounds, enabling them to access global markets and showcase their talent.
Highlighting India’s role in global stability, the Prime Minister said trade deals with the EU and the United States have received a positive international response and contributed to strengthening economic confidence worldwide. He added that India’s governance is now driven by policy clarity and strategic reforms, guided by the principle of “reform, perform and transform.”
Modi also pointed to India’s strong economic performance, calling it one of the fastest-growing major economies with high growth and low inflation. He said India is steadily moving toward becoming the world’s third-largest economy and has a unique demographic advantage, with a young population that will drive future development.
