India-Finland Relations To Scale New Heights With Stubb’s Visit: PM Modi
President of Finland Alexander Stubb arrived in New Delhi on a state visit to India and was received at the airport by Minister of State for External Affairs Kirti Vardhan Singh. He was accorded a ceremonial welcome and a Guard of Honour upon his arrival in the national capital.
President Stubb is visiting India from March 4 to March 7 at the invitation of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. The visit aims to strengthen bilateral relations between the two countries and expand cooperation in areas such as trade and other sectors of mutual interest.
In a post on the social media platform X, President Stubb stated that his visit would further strengthen relations between Finland and India, including in the trade sector. During his visit, he is also scheduled to meet the President of India, the Prime Minister, and other senior leaders.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi welcomed the Finnish leader and expressed confidence that the visit would take India-Finland relations to new heights. The Prime Minister also said he looked forward to meeting President Stubb and attending his keynote address at the Raisina Dialogue 2026.
President Stubb will serve as the Chief Guest and keynote speaker at the 11th edition of the Raisina Dialogue, India’s flagship conference on geopolitics and geo-economics, being held in New Delhi.
